Our customer’s success stories are our success stories, and this one is no exception. Recently, ADCO Constructions used Densi Crete to cure and waterproof all the internal slabs at the new Uni Lodge building near the Brisbane CBD.
ADCO Constructions chose Densi Crete over other topical curing agents for a couple of main reasons;
- Densi Crete does not require mechanical grinding prior to the installation of floor coverings, saving time and money down the track.
- They could cure and waterproof the concrete in a single application at time of pour, saving additional costs that a moisture barrier and curing compound would have necessitated.
Here’s how Densi Crete helped ADCO Constructions to save time and money on their Uni Lodge project:

Product: | Densi Crete to cure & waterproofing |
Time: | Applied at the time of pour |
Area: | 10,000m2 Internal slabs |
According to ADCO’s site manager on the Uni Lodge project, “Densi Crete enabled us to cure & waterproof large concrete pours in in a matter of hours compared to the traditional process of curing it with a polymer agent, grinding it off further down the track and then having to apply a moisture barrier. It then allowed us to open the site within 1 hour of the installation, which was also a great time and money saver.”
Regarding Densi Crete’s 100% success rate in helping prevent moisture damage in decks, walls, lift shafts and slabs that are below ground and subject to hydrostatic pressure, ADCO’s site manager said, “The ability to use it at the time of pour as permanent waterproofing and as an excellent curing medium, also eliminating surface cracking, densifying and hardening without any preparation cost is such a bonus.”
Densi Crete continues to be specified to many builders and waterproofing contractors wanting the time and cost savings.
Densi Crete is one of our pure colloidal silica products. It has the following waterproofing and product benefits:
- It can be applied to almost any concrete product containing 10% Portland cement.
- It is easy to apply and can be sprayed on to existing concrete or concrete at time of pour.
- After applying Densi Crete the surface is foot traffic-able after just 1 hour.
- It accepts coverings within 24 hours of application to existing concrete or within 14 days of application if used at time of pour.
- It is more than 21% cheaper than other waterproofing membrane methods.
